The Mariposa Grandmothers’ 4th annual Yards and Yarn sale is coming up! The annual Yards and Yarns sale is a crafter’s delight! Orillia and area residents have donated fabric, wool, beads, knitting supplies, crochet hooks, quilting supplies, books, notions etc. for this sale. All proceeds go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Admission is free!
Our wonderful community volunteer sewers have been hard at work creating beautiful tote bags! For $15.00, shoppers receive a “grandmother-made” tote bag that can be filled to the brim with fabric, knitting and crocheting supplies, books, notions etc.

Abbotsford Gogos presents An Afternoon with Bernie and Red, in concert on Sunday, September 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way, Abbotsford. Proceeds from this event will go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign which supports sub-Saharan grandmothers caring for some 12 million children orphaned by AIDS. Burnaby Gogos will be selling Safari Denim children’s wear and handmade ribbon jewelry at Burnaby General Hospital, 3935 Kincaid St., from 8 am to 8 pm, Tuesday, Oct. 2. Our popular Safari Denim children’s wear includes jackets, overalls, dresses, pants and more, sized newborn to 6-years. Each item is hand embellished and unique. Ribbon jewelry comes in a wide variety of colours and several styles.
