All proceeds to Help Lesotho and the Stephen Lewis Foundation to support grandmothers in Africa raising their orphaned grandchildren.
OMAS SISKONA (= grandmothers together) of Kitchener-Waterloo will host an “Off the Wall” sale of two-dimensional, new and recycled art (paintings, prints, posters) in Waterloo on May 6, 2017 in support of the work in Sub-Saharan Africa of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to SLF’s grassroots projects which assist African grandmothers who are raising a generation of children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic.
If you have pieces of art that no longer fit on your walls but that you would like to give new life to on someone else’s walls, please get in touch with us. A volunteer will contact you to pick up the items. Thank you for your support.
Burnaby Gogos’ unique Safari Denim children’s wear will be featured for one weekend at Beansprouts, a children’s store known for its hand-crafted natural, recycled and organic clothing. Safari Denim garments are gently used and embellished with African prints. Each item is unique. Jackets, dresses, skirts, pants, overalls, shorts – sized infant to 6 years. The sale will be in the back room of the store.
