Grandmothers 4 Grandmothers Regina is hosting its 2nd ‘Fabric & Yarn Sale’ on Saturday, March 25, 2017. This one-day sale, featuring new fabric and yarn in a variety of lengths, will be held at All Saints Anglican Church Hall. Donations will be accepted until March 11 at St. James United Church, Regina. Re-purpose that fabric and yarn you no longer use. Donate it to support the grandmothers of sub-Saharan Africa who are raising children orphaned by AIDS. Proceeds from the event will go to the Grandmothers Campaign of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Ticket includes entrance, finger foods, (eg. meat and cheese tray, veggies and dip etc.) tea, coffee and punch. Wine can be purchased as well for an additional fee. Participants are encourage to wear an “Easter bonnet” for fun and prizes!
Extra: There will be a Dessert Auction. Tables* can bid on a desserts donated by local restaurants. (*Tables seat ten.) G2G PG’s bracelets and bags will be on sale, as well as the Gold Pan Grannies’ fascinators.
Join Grannies All About Kids for breakfast and a book exchange, and peruse a beautiful selection of jewellery (both Kazuri and gently used pieces) and scarves. Tickets are available from the event organizers.

OMAS SISKONA (= grandmothers together) of Kitchener-Waterloo will host an “Off the Wall” sale of two-dimensional, new and recycled art (paintings, prints, posters) in Waterloo on May 6, 2017 in support of the work in Sub-Saharan Africa of the Stephen Lewis Foundation. All proceeds from the sale will go directly to SLF’s grassroots projects which assist African grandmothers who are raising a generation of children orphaned by the AIDS pandemic.
