In Grandmothers Hands Huronia will be hosting their annual Dare to Dine Pasta Dinner! Social hour begins at 5pm, with dinner to follow at 6pm. Dinner will include a variety of delicious pasta dishes, salads, desserts and beverages.

The Bay Grandmothers are once again hosting their Annual African Luncheon. In addition to a delicious meal, this very popular event includes the sale of baked goods and crafts, preserves, “African Threads,” and Kazuri jewellery. It will also include guest speaker Shauntay Grant, spoken word artist. Scotiabank is the premier sponsor.

The Nelson Grans to Grans are once again hosting their popular African Dinner. Including delicious food cooked and served by the Nelson Grans, this exciting event will also feature a silent auction, entertainment by local artists, and a market place including inspired crafts made by the Nelson Grand Kids.
Doors open at 4:30 PM. Tickets will be sold on a sliding scale of $15-20 each for adults and $10 each for children under 12 years of age. Only 120 tickets are available for this event. Tickets can be purchased at Cottons on Baker and Sensations Dress Shop on Josephine. All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Grandmothers Campaign in support of African grandmothers and the children in their care that have been orphaned by AIDS.
The Tantramar Association of Grandmothers/Others will be hosting their 3rd Annual Dare to Dine Midnight Madness Soup Night. The evening will include delicious soup, rolls, biscuit, cookies and beverages during the town’s midnight madness evening. There will also be cards and Kazuri Jewellery for sale.
Free will donations will be accepted for the supper in support of the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers Campaign.
The Mountain Grannies are hosting their 5th Annual Chili and a Bowl Supper. It is a sold-out supper every year! Local potters make 200 beautiful bowls, and favourite local restaurants donate chilli of all kinds – vegetarian, bison, etc. The grannies do the rest – they bake fabulous desserts and cornbread, serve wine, coffee and tea, display crafts, decorate the church hall, and play music.
