The G’Ma Circle of Summerside in PEI are holding a Benefit Dinner at the lovely Landmark Cafe! Tickets to this event are $35 each and include a delicious 3-course meal that includes a choice of chicken or scallops and a glass of wine. The G’Ma Circle Charlottetown are hosting their Stride to Turn the Tide event. They will be having a 5 km walk along the Confederation Trail starting at the Farmer’s Market in Charlottetown, PEI. Registration begins at 9:30am, walk begins at 10am.

Gathering Season is upon us! Grandmothers Helping Grandmothers will be hosting the 2015 Atlantic Grandmothers’ Gathering this year. It will include a Welcome Reception “Meet and Greet” at Government House, hosted by Her Honour, Jocelyne Roy Vienneau on Friday September 25th, and the Gathering on Saturday September 26th with keynote speaker Joe Cashion.
In honour of 10 years of the Canadian Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, Janet Lewis Solberg from the Stephen Lewis Foundation will present the African Grandmothers Tribunal film, which shines a light on the urgent need to provide better pro¬tection for the human rights of African grandmothers.
After the viewing, Janet will answer questions and chat about the progress made by community-based organizations and the continuing struggle to support African grandmothers.
