Landmark Cafe Benefit Dinner @ Landmark Cafe

The G’Ma Circle of Summerside in PEI are holding a Benefit Dinner at the lovely Landmark Cafe!  Tickets to this event are $35 each and include a delicious 3-course meal that includes a choice of chicken or scallops and a glass of wine.  This meal has been generously donated by the Eugene Sauve family and and the Matos Winery.  For tickets, please call (902) 436-4639.

Grandmothers coming in from out of town are welcome to contact Pat Poirier at (902) 436-0058 for information on a complimentary stay at a cottage on Augustine Cove.

All proceeds from this event will be donated to the Grandmothers Campaign and the Stephen Lewis Foundation.

Charlottetown Stride to Turn the Tide

The G’Ma Circle Charlottetown are hosting their Stride to Turn the Tide event. They will be having a 5 km walk along the Confederation Trail starting at the Farmer’s Market in Charlottetown, PEI. Registration begins at 9:30am, walk begins at 10am.

Join the G’ma Circle of Summerside as they host the “Keeping the Drive Alive” Atlantic Fall Gathering. The Gathering will take place Saturday the 21st, with a wine & cheese meet and greet on Friday night.

Yukon Northern Lights presents The African Grandmothers Tribunal Film and Silent Auction @ United Church

In honour of 10 years of the Canadian Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign, Janet Lewis Solberg from the Stephen Lewis Foundation will present the African Grandmothers Tribunal film, which shines a light on the urgent need to provide better pro¬tection for the human rights of African grandmothers.

After the viewing, Janet will answer questions and chat about the progress made by community-based organizations and the continuing struggle to support African grandmothers.

Please take the opportunity to participate in the Silent Auction. Proceeds from donations and the silent auction go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.
