Grandmothers groups organize events to raise awareness and funds in support of community-based organizations that turning the tide on HIV/AIDS  and African grandmothers and the children in their care.

The Grandmothers Campaign also has a number of national fundraising initiatives: Stride to Turn the Tide, Dare to Dine, Good Words for Africa Scrabble Benefit and Kazuri Jewellery. They are all stirring examples of the way Canadian grandmothers remember and honour the African grandmothers who are pillars of strength in their communities.
