The Mariposa Grandmothers are preparing for their annual book exchange to be held on Saturday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Paul’s in Orillia, 62 Peter St. N.
Please bring five or six gently used books to exchange for books you haven’t read. Admission is by donation, with proceeds going to the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
Funds raised will support grandmothers in Africa who are raising children orphaned by HIV/AIDS. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $20 or more.
Hands and Hearts for Africa presents their Fabulous Sock Hop, happening next Saturday February 23 from 5:30 to 9:30pm at Richmond Hill United Church, 10201 Yonge Street in downtown Richmond Hill.

two dynamic and award-winning choral ensembles, Raise Her Voice Chamber Choir and A Few Good Men, from the Oakville Choir for Children and Youth along with soloist performances by soprano, Dr. Charlene Pauls and violinists Royce Richert and Leslie Ashworth.
