SUMMARY:NanGo Grannies Summer Pop Up  Sale (In-person)
DESCRIPTION:The NanGo Grannies are holding a pop-up craft\, baking and fabric sale in the parking lot of St. Paul’s Church\, 100 Chapel Street\, on Saturday\, August 7\, from 11 am to 3 pm. \nIn addition to their hand made fabric crafts (aprons\, kitchen accessories\, travel bags)\, they will have gourmet cookies and jams for sale. There will also be a large selection of quilting and specialty fabric for sale\, which they normally offer at their annual giant fabric sale\, which has not been held for the last two years. There will something for everyone! \nAll proceeds go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. The NanGo Grannies have been supporting grandmothers in Africa through the Stephen Lewis Foundation since 2006\, and have raised over $100\,000 for the Foundation’s work with African grandmothers and their grandchildren. \nDue to Covid-19 precautions\, admission will be controlled\, and it is strongly recommended that shoppers wear masks and practice distancing. A reminder to bring your own reusable bags for your purchases\, since the City of Nanaimo no longer allows vendors to supply single use plastic bags. \nThere is free parking in the Bastion Street parkade on Saturdays.
