DESCRIPTION:On National Grandparents Day connect with the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign on the Chief William Commanda Bridge from Ottawa to Gatineau. Cross the bridge with Ottawa-Gatineau Regional network of grandmothers to act in solidarity with grandmothers in sub-Saharan Africa. Add to the grandmothers’ cross-Canada “Clothesline” to raise awareness of this important work and affirming support. The Ottawa One World Grannies\, who are organizing this event\, invite grandparents\, “grand-others”\, children and anyone who would like to join in to walk\, bike or run across the bridge to celebrate the day.
