SUMMARY:Ride to Turn the Tide
DESCRIPTION:On September 6th and 7th some “Grassroot Grannies” and friends will cycle from Stittsville to Perth and return via Almonte in this two-day bicycle ride while others will cycle from Ashton to Almonte and return on September 7th. Distances cycled will vary from 50 km in the one-day event to between 120 and 210 km in the two-day event. Along the way the cyclists will be hosted by volunteer groups including the G2G group “Lanark County Grannies” in Perth. All cyclists will visit a school in Almonte on September 7 where the students will wave them on from the sidewalk in front of the school. In May\, a delegation from the Grassroot Grannies visited the school where they presented a slideshow and talk about the Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign.

SUMMARY:Ride to Turn the Tide 2024
DESCRIPTION:A two-day cycle ride from Stittsvile to Perth on September 4 and 5\, 2024. In addition cyclists on a one-day cycle ride meet up with the two-day ride participants on their way back to Stittsville in Almonte\, Ontario. While in Almonte all the cyclists will visit and chat with students at an elementary school – the children we told about the ride and why we cycle to raise money in an assembly in the spring.
