DESCRIPTION:Join Active Aging Coach\, Patti Bishop\, BSc\, RHN for a 90-minute wellness workshop focused on women over 50. You will learn:\n– the value of strength training as you age\n– how both sleep and stress can affect weight loss and gain\n– how to decrease joint pain\n– what cravings are and what they mean\nThere will be a combination of inspiring information and movement. Get ready to improve your balance and posture for a healthier you! Following the presentation\, participants will be invited to take part in a free five-day wellness challenge. \nAll proceeds from this event are donated to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign. Resources from the Campaign are invested directly at the community level\, with grassroots organizations that provide African grandmothers and the children in their care with supports that include food\, educational supplies\, uniforms and school fees\, medical care\, HIV counselling & testing\, adequate housing and bedding\, counselling & support groups\, home visits and much more. \nEvent tickets for “Age Strong in 2021” are $15.\nYour support can reach even further!
