DESCRIPTION:  \nA concert to celebrate the 20th year of the Grandmothers Campaign featuring two great Canadian icons: Jay Douglas and Jackie Richardson! \nHeadlining the evening is Jay Douglas\, a three-time Juno nominee whose rich career spans global music festivals and iconic stages such as Koerner Hall\, Harbourfront Theatre\, the CNE Bandshell\, and The Old Mill. Known for his deep connection to reggae\, blues\, jazz\, and soul\, Jay has collaborated with reggae legends and is the subject of the new TVO original film Play It Loud\, chronicling his life\, struggles\, and triumphs. \nJay will perform with a full band and backup singers. Joining him as a special guest is Jackie Richardson\, award-winning vocalist and actress\, widely regarded as Canada’s foremost singer of gospel\, blues\, and jazz\, a Canadian jazz legend\, and a proud recipient of the Order of Canada. \nGuests are invited to arrive early for a silent auction and light refreshments\, with doors opening at 6pm and the concert beginning at 7:30 pm.
