We are delighted to invite you to another event of Contemporary African Voices! We believe we come to know a country by reading its authors. This time we will take you to Uganda. This event is a fundraiser for the Stephen Lewis Foundation Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign which supports community-based organizations in sub-Saharan Africa who are turning the tide of HIV and AIDS. Jennifer Nansubuga Makumbi is a Ugandan novelist and short story writer living in Manchester, England. Garvia Bailey is a Toronto based, Jamaica born journalist, producer, broadcaster, and former CBC host who is inspired and driven by the power of sharing our stories.

There is no charge for this event. Donations are welcome to the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s Grandmothers to Grandmothers Campaign. To make an online donation, please click on the DONATE button above the tracker which shows our fundraising progress. The PARTICIPANT is listed as CONTEMPORARY AFRICAN VOICES. Donations of $20 and more will receive a charitable tax receipt directly from the Stephen Lewis Foundation.
