Grandmothers groups are dynamic, diverse, and distinct. Some operate with informal meetings, and some with structured agendas. Some are based in rural areas and some are in urban centres.  But they are all excited to welcome new members! You don’t have to be a grandmother to join a group. Grandothers (those who aren’t grandparents or don’t identify as a grandmother) are welcome, and also contribute to the grandmothers movement in meaningful ways.
