Fabric and Yarn Sale – Calgary

Ujamaa Grandmas is holding its annual Fabric and Yarn Sale over three days: May 5 – 7, 2023. If you sew, knit, or do crafts, plan to attend. All goods are donated by individuals and businesses. As well as basic fabrics such as fleece, flannelette, cottons, wools, and blend,s expect to find a wide selection of quilting fabric, ‘fancies’ (great for costumes), drapery and upholstery materials and all manner of notions such as thread, zippers, buttons, ribbon,and beads. Depending on the year, we may also receive donations of equipment such as sewing machines, hand looms, cutters, ball winders, and templates. Our merchandise is priced to sell (most fabric from $2 to $5 per metre and yarn from $2 per ball. Bargains abound.
Admission is $2. On Friday only, and to manage crowds, tickets must be obtained through Eventbrite. Tickets go on sale starting April 2.
